Which Freedom Camper Size is Right for You?
Choosing between the 58x89 and 58x79 Freedom Camper comes down to how you like to adventure. Both models are built with the same rugged materials, premium craftsmanship, and go-anywhere spirit.
48" x 79" Freedom Camper
This size is ideal for midsize trucks similar to the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Ford Maverick, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline, and Jeep Gladiator.
The 48" x 79" Freedom Camper can also fit in all fullsize trucks with the tailgate up.
58" x 89" Freedom Camper
The 58" x 89" is our biggest seller and gives you a little extra length—perfect for taller campers or those who want more room to stretch out and store gear.
The 89” length makes it optimal to run on all full size truck beds and 5x8 trailers and larger.
58" x 79" Freedom Camper
The 58" x 79" is a more compact option—ideal for customers who have 6’6” (tailgate off or down) or 6’9” inch bed (tailgate shut) who are looking to keep the camper compact within their bed without overhanging. This is important if you plan to place your Freedom Camper in your truck bed while hauling a boat or trailer.
Additionally, we recommend if you are using a Decked Drawer system (or similar system) we recommend the 58x79 size to limit the amount of overhang over the drawer system.
Mounting Options for Trucks or Trailers
The Freedom Camper has two different mounting options to choose from.
Trailer Mounting Kit
Standard with your purchase unless the Truck Mounting Kit is specifically selected, The Trailer Mounting Kit includes two metal plates, eight bolts, 8 washers, and 8 nuts to attach to trailers.
Truck Mounting Kit
The system creates a rock-solid hold while allowing quick attachment and detachment. It also serves as an efficient attachment method for your trailer, eliminating the need for ratchet straps. The Kit does not come pre-installed and will need to be installed to your specific truck.
Freedom Camper Dimensions:
Both models work great as a small truck bed camper, a hunting camper, or a truck camper on a utility trailer for hauling extra gear like ATVs or bikes.

The Truck Mounting Kit is required if using a truck bed to carry your Freedom Camper. It is optional if using with a trailer.
The truck mounting kit uses four turnbuckles to allow you to quickly and securely attach your camper to the outside rails on your truck bed or attachment points in your trailer. If selected, this kit will be shipped inside your camper. The Truck Mounting Kit includes: x8 side mount plates, x4 d-rings, x12 hardward, x4 turnbuckles, as well as an instruction manual.

The trailer mounting kit is recommended if you are planning to permanently or semi-permanently affix your camper to your trailer. If selected, this kit will be shipped inside your camper.
